Developed Point

All 650MPs have the chance to vote on whether a bill becomes a law, for a bill to become law it must have 50% of the vote in favour of it.

Developed Point - Analysis

However, most of the time a majority government will have little trouble passing bills as they already have 50% of MPs in their favour.

Voting - Conclusion

Overall, voting is an ineffective way of parliamentary representatives in holding the government to account due to the government already having an advantage because the majority of MPs within Parliament are a member of their party and will agree with their proposed bills.
