1. Discuss the details of the Korean War. Include the following items:when did it begin, the leaders of each side, the sequence of events of the war (direction(s) the war took), Truman’s goal and eventually who ended the war and how they did do it.
the Korean War began on June 25, 1950 when North Korea decided to cross the 38th parallel in great strength. the leader of the North Korean side was Kim Il-Sung and the leader of the South Korean side was Syngman Rhee. Il-Sung needed permission from Stalin before they could cross over into South Korea. So stalin went ahead and approve of the advancement into South Korea. but Stalin told Il-Sung that if they were to get kicked in the teeth than to don't go looking for the Soviet Union for help. that he need to look for Mao for help because he didn't want to be apart of the mess. in May Mao ended up approving to help in adiding Il-Sung during the war if needed. so North Korea started off concoring Seoul and then ended up having success in moving all the way down into Pusan. but stalin and mao didn't cauculate that the american troops in japan were now in combat in South Korea. in the beging the fight went badly and North Korea was winning but MacArthur decided to assult form Inchon. which worked in defeating the North Korean armys in the south. then truman decided to keep pushing the North Korean army up to the Chinese boreder avoiding China's warinning on invading the North. so then China came in and joined Il-Sung and pushed the Americans back to the 38th parallel line and ended up being a stail mate. no one moved until Eisenhower became president and decided to bluff to china and use nuclear weapons to break the stalemate.

they provided more jobs for the AA, MA, NA and women during the WWI.

3. Explain the causes and effects of the Great Depression. Discuss in detail Hoover’s and FDR”s strategy to fix the economy. What eventually got the U.S. out of the economy slump?

the cause of the great depression was because of over production of goods that people were supposed to need. but since everyone owned one of these goods the buying of the products slowed down. of the banks closing, the lose of crops and people not having any money left because of the banks closing.then on black Thursday the stocks fell overnight. causing everyone who owned stocks to lose all their money.the effect of the great depression cause family's to live in hoovervilles and have to eat soup and beans. it also cause psychological burdens on the American people to find a way to end their suffering. Hoover tried to fix the economy by passing some laws but that didn't end up going to well for him. so that made the economy stay at being not fixed. FDR's plane was to create a new deal for the american people and solve the crisis that is the Great Depression. Rossevelt passed new deals in giving aid and money to the people of America and jobs to them to help them improve the economy.

the Home Front was a greater impact on than the great depression. while most of the men in america were off fighting the war in another nation, america underwent a sweeping social and economic change. since the damand for war material had increased the production of both industry and agriculture started to benefit from it. people started moving into urban areas in the south and west parts. woman and started to get out of the house and get jobs because they need to support there family while the husbands were off to war. with all of the success that the nation was having in recovering it helped FDR to be re-elected again. African Americans migrated during the wartime like everyone else. but they faced racial prejudice and social and economic gains were limited. Mexican Americans served in the the armed forces and shared some of the same problems the AA faced during the war.
