Attempting Suicide |
Those who attempt suicide, unlike those who threaten, are more vague with their distress. Attempting happens more in lower class women who are young. WHile, in contrast, those who commit are typically men, upper class, and older. |

About 2/3rds of those who commit have made at least one attempt. Most have communicated their thoughts. There are five different types: 1. Depressed: Withdrawn for activities. 2. Two reasons: What qualifies as suicide can vary from state to state. An accidental death can be misinterpreted as suicide and vice versa. Secondly, the victims family may hide the fact that it was suicide. |

Less people, more self reliant, less likely to ask for helps, higher population of whites and whites=more suicide than blacks. |

Native Americans kill them self the most because their culture was destroyed. Whites are in second place and hold the majority of suicides of the rest due to more individual freedoms and weaker social restraints.

Men because of really low instances of social control. This could be tied to inequality and why men commit more. In Asia it is the opposite for women. The High social control causes them to suicide. |

About age 56 suicide rates drop for all but white men. This could be due to diminished of social ties. However, since it is just white men it is likely also due to the fact that they can not perform like they used to. |

inconsistent. Some say rich kill them self's more because they have more to lose. Some say poor because they have more stress or exacerbates a pre-existing condition. Some say none. |
