-Earned $150 as town Marshall. Earned extra in the side by gambling.


- Shot dead a 7th cavalry soldier by accident and fled


- 1872~ Citizens of Abilene make it clear that cowboys are no longer welcome.


- Shot dead playing poker in the no.10 saloon while holding "dead mans hand"

- Arrived in Abilene in 1871


- Warned not to kill anyone. Killed someone.


- Killed a man in Abilene and ended up escaping. Finally caught in 1874

- Led a column with gen. Gibbon against Sious along Yellowstone River.

- Marched his men through instead of around Wolf Mountain to arrive at the Sioux camp first.


- Divided 600 men's into the three groups.


- Acted alone. Outnumbered, outsmarted, and outmanoeuvred by the Sioux.

- were supposed to attack village from the south whilst Custer attacked from North with 215 men
