Animalia
- These organisms feed on other living organisms -They are multi-cellular meaning they have lots of different cells. - They do not have a cell wall - They can be split into vertebrates and non - vertebrates. - They are Eukaryotic meaning they have membrane bound organelles and a nucleus. |
Plantae
- They use light and Photosynthesis to create energy to turn into food -They do have a cell wall - Plants are also multi-cellular - They are also Eukaryotic meaning they do not have membrane bound organelles. - Gametes of some plants move ie beating cilla/flagella. |
Fungi
- These organisms have Chitin cell walls. - They do not require seeds for reproduction but use spores. - They are Eukaryotic meaning they have membrane bound organelles and a nucleus. They are Multi-cellular - They have a Nucleus - They have no Chloroplast so they get food through absorption. |
Prokaryotes
- They have a cell wall but it is not made from cellulose. - They do not have a Nucleus. They are non-membrane bound and Prokaryotic ie they have no membrane bound organelles. - The cell wall is made of Murein - They have no visible structures inside the cell. They gain food through absorption through cell wall or photosynthesis. |
Protoctists
-They live colonies and exist as single cells. - They mainly are aquatic creatures and are normally small and Eukaryotic. - Organisms that don't fit into Fungi, Animals or Plants normally go here. -Nutrients are acquired through photosynthesis or eating other organisms - They move around using Flagella/Cilla. |
