The Hebrew’s believed that if you did not follow Yahweh’s law you would be severely punished. Within the Torah is a story called “David & Basheba” much like a parable in the Christian bible. In this Story David gets a married woman pregnant, by doing so he is defying one of Yahweh’s laws. In conclusion, Yahweh punishes David for disobeying his laws and ruins David’s life. Moral of the story if you do not follow Yahweh’s law you will be punished. The fact that the Hebrews built temples just to hold the Torah shows how significant the Torah was to them. It also shows how important following Yahweh’s law was to them, for them to have a building built specifically to house The Torah. One specific temple that was built was the Solomon’s Temple in 966-586 BCE by King Solomon. The inside of the temples were filled with frescos that were paintings of stories from the Torah.
