Joseph Stalin was important to history however he was also one of the worst people in history. He did a lot of terrible things but he shaped russia into what it is today. Joseph Stalin was important to history. He did a lot of things that helped russia. He turned Russia from a agricultural country into a superstate with the atomic bomb. The well being of the Soviet people was dramatically increasing. By turning Russia into a superstate he helped insure it to be a safer country and when people are happier in a country then the country will be better off.

Stalin was an awful person. Stalin's son was so unhappy with him he shot himself but he survived so Stalin teased him for not even being able to shoot. Then the germans took his son and Stalin didn't pay ransom. People don't know what happened to Stalin's wife some say she killed herself others say he killed her. He basically murdered both his wife a son. …show more content…
During world war 2 he ordered every thing in the way of him and the germans to be burned. There was also no free press during that time. The burning included his own country. His people weren't even allowed to talk in the news.

In conclusion I think Stalin was important to history but he didn't do much good. He was an awful person but without him Russia wouldn't be what it is today. I don't think that his actions are made up with the “good” things he
