Why Characters are so important

A story without characters is like life without humans it would be incomplete. A story needs characters because they are what make the piece of literature like in A Good Man is Hard to Find. In the story A Good Man is Hard to Find the characters play an important part of the story especially the Misfit, June Star, and the Grandmother. These characters played and important role in this story and without them the story would be incomplete.
The word misfit means a person who is poorly adapted to a situation or environment. Which mean the misfit really had no place in life he fit badly, but in the story he was the suspense in the story. The misfit made the story

She began trying to make Bailey, her son, feel guilty about the children's safety. The grandmother says that "she couldn't answer to her conscience if she took the children in a direction where there was a convict on the loose."
June Star is Bailey's daughter, and the grandmother's granddaughter. Though she's cute, she's just plain nasty to everybody, as we learn pretty early on in the story from the way she treats her grandmother "She wouldn't stay at home for a million bucks," June star said. "Afraid she'd miss something. She has to go everywhere we go. (O’Connor) Or how about her nice little exchange with Red Sammy's wife."Ain't she cute?" Red Sam's wife said, leaning over the counter. "Would you like to come be my little girl?" "No I certainly wouldn't," June Star said. "I wouldn't live in a broken-down place like this for a million bucks!" and she ran back to the table. Without June Star there would be no comedy in the story.
With these three characters this story has suspense in it, it is funny, and very manipulative so that’s why this story would be incomplete with out these characters and that goes for any story without characters it will be…
