Rochelle still believes that her wedding should not be from the Hispanic tradition and that her wedding should be as elegant as the ones in those in magazines that she would read about. At this point in Rochelle’s life she is beginning to understand how hard it actually is to find the right guy to be with. She had a list that she would go through listing potential grooms. Rochelle eventually gives up on the list and throws it away. Although she dropped the list, she kept a mental list of her exes. Showing that she isn’t quite the dynamic character yet, but she did call making the physical list “childish” which shows a bit of a dynamic character. Granados writes the following in her story “The Bride” to show that Rochelle is begging to change the way she does things. “ She kept up with her lists as usual, but stopped physically adding to them in tenth grade- dropped and discarded as ‘too childish’”
