Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, is noted for saying, “change is the only constant in life.” ( Heraclitus Quotes, 2016) This statement still has validity in today’s business and organizational behavior studies. Successful organizations seek continuous improvement and drive change due to technology innovations, competition, and a desire for growth amongst other reasons. As a result, change occurs frequently within organizations that focus and place emphasis on continuous improvement.
