Reaching Out to You All
What do you know about Malcom X? The first thing people think about when you ask them that question is the racial discrimination toward him. Racism was around ever since Malcolm X was born, growing up with it every day. His father made the family decision to move to Lansing, Michigan, with the intentions of eliminating the racial troubles (The NorthStar Group Par 2). After reading a specific chapter “Prison Studies” in the book The Autobiography of Malcolm X I’ve learned how great of a writer he was. Malcolm X himself states, “Many who today hear me somewhere in person, or on television, or those who read something I’ve said, will think I went to school far beyond the eighth grade” (par 1). Surprisingly Malcolm X had no high school or college education. If I was asked that same question ‘What do you know about Malcolm X?’ the first thing that would come to my mind is his amazing writing techniques and how he found a way to reach out to so many people. He touched a few audiences such as the dreamers, the education system of African-Americans, and other prisoner. Malcolm X touched many audiences with his devotion toward learning how to succeed.
“Pretty soon, I would have quit even theses motions, unless I had received the motivation that I did” (Malcolm X par 2). These words from the author speak to the audience I call ‘Dreamers’. Everyone has their dreams in mind, some make their dreams come true and unfortunately some let their dreams fall apart.…
