With everyday lives, people take showers, cook, clean, and drink with water. People may not think about it much, but water is very vital to life. Roughly about 97% of earth is covered with saltwater. Yet, only 2.5% of the earth’s surface is covered with fresh water. The global water crisis is a major problem in the world and most people are not doing much to conserve the water that is available. The world is in a high demand of water, yet there is not much water available to meet the needs. There should be something done to help prevent any more problems that people may face with the water crisis.
The population growth is increasing so fast that this is also a problem with water scarcity. Most poor countries suffer from the contaminated water. These countries are now able to start developing ways to have safe and reliable water as a source.
As most individuals know the earth’s surface is mostly covered with water. Freshwater makes up a very small portion of water in the world and a very small amount of that water is accessible and consumable. Freshwater can come in many different forms like rivers, lakes, glaciers, and even groundwater. Water is definitely a necessity for life. Humans need water for drinking, cleaning, and even cooking.
