Most of the today’s people who listens to hip hop music have some type of idea of who Tupac Shakur is or have heard of him from a friend which shows a person the type of impact this artist had on the rap game. “Born in New York City in 1971, Tupac Shakur, known by his stage name 2Pac, was an American rapper. Shakur has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists in the world” (" Tupac Shakur Biography." Bio. Web.). Tupac was hardcore and that is what hip hop’s about. Speaking your mind, saying things trapped within your mind that is hard to explain to your everyday people and when Pac rapped he did exactly that he spoke his mind explicitly. I could relate to the things Pac were saying because it seemed like at a point of time he was portraying my life through a rhyme. Growing up I could admit that I studied his character because Tupac was a very interesting person to me. One thing I notice when I listen to Pac speak is that when he spoke you listened because it seemed like he had some type of aura that grabs you and pulls you into what he was saying. His character influenced me at a young age to be more free about myself and to speak up because your opinion could make a change in someone’s life and I feel like Pac influenced a lot of young musicians today and introduced them to something new.
Being a true fan of the hip-hop industry, I can not count the number of times I have heard an artist admit to being under the influence…
