According to the national children's oral health foundation “More than 25% of children aged 2-5 years and 50% of those aged 12-15 years suffer from tooth decay”. Tooth decay is caused when the child’s teeth are exposed to sugar. Many liquids that your child consume are very rich in sugar. Liquids including: milk, soda, and juice. The healthiest liquid a child can drink is water. It does not contain sugar and it’s great for a growing body. There are ways to prevent the child from developing tooth decay. Brushing and flossing the child’s teeth twice a day can minimize their chances of developing tooth decay greatly.
