Tensions between their families make them feel this way, even though, if they would have made their relationship public, things may have changed between the families. Society tells that enemies shouldn’t love, so they had to hide their love because they thought it was the only way. The pressure increases when Romeo kills Tybalt. Juliet becomes torn when she wants to side with Romeo, who technically at that time was her family, privately, but feels that she has to side with or pretend to side with Tybalt because they are and always have been related. “Shall I speak ill of him who is my husband?...
