The world’s population have been growing at an exponential rate ever since the 1800’s, and is currently growing at about 1.13%, which means the population is increasing by about 80 millions per year. As we learned in biology, all ecosystem have a carrying capacity, and so does earth. Earth have limited resources and limited capacity, it can only carry up to a certain population, before we are forced to compete fiercely for resources. By restricting abortion, attempting to force the baby to be born, will only result in more kids put into orphanage, foster care, adoption etc. Given the option to get an abortion will reduce the stress of not only the mother, but also the society, and the government, because they just might be the ones that end up having to take care of those …show more content…
On the other hand, we cannot promise the infant equal opportunity, or equal resources. Furthermore, we also put more burden on the mother’s shoulder, having to take care of it, or having to give it up, both financial and emotional stress is created here. Also, electrical brain activities are only able to be detected by the end of week 8, and that’s when it become a “fetus.” (Schwarzwalder, 3) Which means before that, the baby is like brainless, and mother should be able to receive an abortion before that. Sidetracking a little, there are organisms genetically made with pig and human sex cells used only to harvest particular organ for human organ transplant. If that’s an acceptable action in society to day, killing half human organism that were already fully developed, why is abortion such a sensitive issue
