Ariel works for Prospero, this is shown when Ariel says, “What would my potent master? Here I am”(574 Line 34). This shows that Ariel is told what to do and is not free. Prospero is his master. Prospero has said “We must prepare to meet Caliban”(578 Line 156). Prospero needs Ariel to help him. He needs to rule Ariel to help with his tasks. Caliban and Prospero also have many differences. This is shown when Caliban said “Do hiss into madness”(546 Line 14). That goes to say that Prospero is driving Caliban into madness.
