I think that it does not get enough accurate representation in the media and is something that affects many people. It was very interesting for me to do this project because not only was it very educational, but while researching information, I learned a lot more about the symptoms of OCD. It made me more aware of the truth behind the disorder. I believe that OCD is a serious mental disorder and is very misunderstood. I was excited and passionate about this project because I wanted to know more about the disorder, and even now, I am very curious about it. I had many questions about the symptoms and treatment of OCD and learned more about it from this project. One of the reasons I was so curious about this topic is because I experience many of the symptoms of OCD and was more curious to learn about what it is for myself. I experience symptoms of Dermatillomania, fear of contamination, checking, and hypochondria. These are just some symptoms. Before this project, I was more unsure of these symptoms. Research about this topic helped clear facts about OCD and teach me more facts about the disorder. I believe that OCD is a real disorder and needs more representation in the media. I have a first hand experience with the disorder, driving my passion about the issue. Also, being in an era where the media influences everyones thoughts and behaviors I have seen how the media has distorted the facts and reality
