The Pros And Cons Of The Roman Road

There are many different views on whether the biblical book of Romans accurately displays an accurate display of the gospel through the use of the “Roman Road” dialog. The Roman Road utilizes specific scriptures throughout the book and lays the foundation for the non-believer to get a glimpse of our sin and God’s grace and forgiveness. The method starts by declaring humans are sinful people, Romans 3:10 “as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one;” Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” and follows with the consequenses of their uncorrected state through Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Continuing down the road it is shown …show more content…
When church members contact families face-to-face, they are able to immediately make a direct bond between them and the church or organization they represent. Direct interaction with local family and residence create a relationship that no other type of evangelism can mirror, spending physical time and learning about them on a personal level is priceless.

Disadvantages to door-to-door evangelism is breaking through the fears of individuals within the church. Members are more cautious of walking into a person’s home they do not know. When doing door-to-door ministry, manpower can also be an issue. Most effective teams are co-ed and consist of more than two persons. When teams may encounter aggressive and derogatory neighbors that are not open to speaking on a consistent basis, maintaining positive motivation may be difficult.

From these three methods, the most suitable to myself is servant evangelism. This method is best suited for me because of the impact that I can personally make on multiple persons throughout one day. Professionally, I can be an effective witness by simple actions and decisions that I make during the workday. Personally, being a father of four children little eyes are watching every move that is made. The servant hood that is given to my wife, kids and others are being evaluated for more than just spoken
