Throughout my walk I realized that there were many signs that prevent people from fully being involved in the community such as parking limits, requirements for pets to be outside, and public access to parks. Signs that limit parking to the public minimizes the community interaction since people are only allowed to park their vehicle for certain period of time. This prevents people from connecting physically with each other for a long period of a time since there are chances of them being ticketed for parking too long. Parks and pets’ regulation signs limit the community opportunities to fully enjoy the community goods. People are restricted to enjoy public goods in specific time block when law enforcements are able to watch over the community efficiently. Therefore, the community is controlled by political power.
