The Possibility of an Absolute Architecture by Pier Vittorio Aureli is very subjective. Architecture makes sense within the social, political and cultural dimension. It is represented through the ideal appearance of the built environment. In the title he has used the word absolute which refers to the marked boundary of a city. Urbanization for most architects is interchangeable, but for him it is a fundamental phenomena which is the division and confrontation. The act of division and being divided in architecture shows the core of a city. It is a form of ethos and subjectivity of the city. This research lead to the writing of this book, No-Stop City. City in the title means the social problems, ideas and hypothesis of metropolitan area. According to Andrea Branzi the project implements the vanishing of architecture. The book is an urbanization which shows us the theoretical element used for transformation of livelihood pattern and boundary. A city is compared to a factories arrangement. The pattern with a lot of centers. It is a serious Utopia.
As the name implies No-Stop City the idea was to create a city which doesn't stop. A futuristic project of their time which was never implemented in a project. In my opinion it would be a much polluted city. Even though we are quiet progressing in that direction, we are not there yet. The city would have had no boundaries, artificial lighting, etc. In a world where we are trying to go back to the natural way of living, not completely but in some ways (reduce, recycle and reuse), this would just make us more and more dependent of natural resources which are getting used up in high quantities.
