The most interesting aspect about the four photographs of this project, is that all of them feel incredibly staged either in a studio or in a way where the individuals are arranged in a manner that is best suited towards the photographer’s desires. The photographer is displaying the individuals to best suit his idea of what the photo should look like with no regard for the people and how they wanted to be seen by the world. If it be in the Daughter of the Nizam of Hyderabad posing for Lala Deen Dayal in her family’s palace or on a coast in, Kulis of the West of India. All of these photographs don’t take into account the culture and positionality of the individuals in them. So that is exactly what I am going to do, pretended that the individuals in the photographs are the ones taking them. Showing the lives of these individuals while hopefully using there positionality as the main theme throughout the whole process of designing what their photographs would look like. To truly understand these individuals positionality, their social economic status, geographical location, and time period will have to be fully understood before attempting to design their own photographs. Then compare and contrast them to their original photographs. The largest obstacle about this project is achieving the most accurate interpretation of what their selfies would say and look like.
