In act 3 scene 1, Mercutio of the Montague household decides to foolishly pick a fight with a member of the Capulet household, Tybalt. Eventually Mercutio is killed, dying under the arm of his companion Romeo and prompting Tybalt to run away in fear of being of killed himself due to the decree made by the Prince. In a fit of rage and vengeance, Romeo willfully chooses to avenge his friend’s death and to uphold his household name. In the passage Romeo announces, “Away to heaven, respective lenity, And fire-eyed fury be my conduct now. Now, Tybalt, take the “villain” back again” (III.i.85-87). Romeo clearly states that he is now allowing his rage to take over and heavily influence his actions due to his free will. He swears to exact his revenge on Tybalt without thinking of the consequences that would precede the killing. Romeo then pursues Tybalt and then duel leading to Tybalt’s death and Romeo being banished to Mantua. But Romeo goes against the law and chooses to consummate his love with Juliet by trekking to the Capulet household all due to his choice of allowing his lust for love to overpower him. However, the most absurd actions of Romeo and Juliet lie in act 4 and 5 when the situation of the story is reaching a boiling
