The family of the winner has to follow the tradition because the tradition is so powerful. The tradition is so powerful that everybody follows it without any hesitation. The Lottery is a tradition where people have no control over what they do. People in The Lottery do the tradition without say that it is wrong. The Lottery’s tradition’s power is strong that people just do what they are supposed to do. Tessie tried to make excuses when she won the lottery but the tradition was to powerful and she was stoned anyway. The tradition’s power overpowered everybody’s perspective. The Lottery’s theme was power of tradition because it was to powerful for everybody else to speak what they think of the lottery and the reason why they should stop the lottery. The Lottery’s power of tradition mead the village people murder someone in their community own June 27th every year.
