Do you ever feel the urge to listen to that little voice in the back of your head to achieve something bad? Do you ever feel like someone, or something, is yearning you to take that wrong step in your righteous path to life? That breath on the back of your neck twisting your mind to make that mistake and sin? This specific someone, that voice in your head, that breath can be justified as our Father of Lies we know as Satan. Now, you may know Satan from the many cartoons and comics. You know, the man in the red suit with a tail, horns and a pitchfork who acts like a cute, little deceiver who manipulates people into doing wrong. As God is seen as the Almighty, all good Lord and ruler of all, any opposition to Him is clear to be justified through the means of evil and destruction. Satan was filled with such hate that he decided to set full vengeance towards God for his fall from the glorious Heaven to the fiery flames of Hell: “To wage by force or guile eternal war irreconcilable to our grand Foe”. (Lines 121-122) Satan is reinforcing that through war, or any other devious path, him and his fellow rebel angels can fight their enemy forever. Through Satan’s rebellion against God, his thirst for vengeance grew and grew until he became the enemy, the ultimate nemesis who chose to oppose all morals and laws of God, leaving no trace of good in his conscience. Satan’s rebellion against the Most High was due to his pride and desire to continue war against him due to envy, revenge and his absolute love of evil. Satan not only went against God, but went against all goodness as well. I mean, how can you not see the total evil inscripted in the image of the demonic Satan?
