Whilst pointing out the fact that these devils are degenerate beings trying to lead us away from God and force us down a path in which we are merely cattle waiting to be butchered, it also simultaneously addresses the reality that the Lord wishes to do the exact opposite. One thing I picked up from reading this book is that the people you hang out with should mirror what you believe in. You can’t go hang out with a group of people who despise God while you worship Him because eventually those opposing thoughts will weave their way into your faith and weaken your bond with God. Instead, hanging out with those who share similar views on Christ would be more suitable. Their equivalent perspectives on faith would help you grow closer to God, solidifying your relationship with Him. A second notable item I picked up was the “Law of Undulation”. This was not a new concept to me, however it did reinforce my belief that we all go through peaks and troughs with God. Sometimes, you feel such a strong connection with Him, and other times not so much. When you feel close to Him, God is holding your hand as you go through life.
