It is widely believed that China has the oldest continuous civilization. China more than 4,000 years of history can be verified (, 2015). Beijing is the capital of China, which is the focal point for the country. The official language is Chinese standard, which is derived from the Mandarin dialect. Most businessmen speak English. There are many dialects in China, however, everything is written in one language.

The Chinese women of the past do not have much power, and were generally submissive in nature. As the country modernizes, women now have the right to study, live and choose their own husbands (, 2015). However, even now, gender inequality still exists within the Chinese culture.

The Chinese society and collective in nature, as they well known for their focus on harmony within family and relationships. Every member contributes something for the greater good of the family and the community.
It is the norm of the Chinese culture to exercise courtesy and politeness. In families and communities Chinese social harmony is very positive.
The Chinese tend to place a colossal emphasis on hard work, and in contrast to the West and the Middle East, which tends to put more weight on the balance between work and play.
The Chinese are a group of success-oriented and driven people. This is indicated by their strong score on the masculinity dimension. This is strongly evident in their younger generations, as they place a strong emphasis on exam grades and doing well in school.
