For millions of years humans have fought bloody battles against each other on the name of religion and human equality. After many years, we have come to understand and accept the different religions and races around the world. The Education of Little Tree, by Forrest Caster, is a great movie example on how the white Christians discriminated Native Americans just because they sought life with a different point. In this movie we come to understand how a white eight year old grow living like an Indian and learn the “Cherokee way of life” (Caster).
The Education of Little Tree started in 1935 on the state of Tennessee, where a little boy, called Little Tree, was about to move in with his white Grandpa and Indian Grandma because his mother just had passed away and his dad died a year before from war. In the first two-three minutes of the movie, when grandpa was going to take Little Tree way from aunt Martha, the tension on the movie start to escalated between Grandpa and aunt Martha because aunt Martha didn’t approve the Little Tree would be living in the reservation with the Indians instead she wanted Little Tree to live in a Christian environment were their god would be the only one. Has the first hour of the movie progresses, there are clear examples of haters and unequal treatment against Grandpa, Grandma, and Willow…
