For those stories, their tones are usually clear, concise, and straightforward because their audiences are much different from the stories we talked above. The main audiences for the previous fictions are adults or educated people. But the main audiences for fairytales are children. As we know, children are more open to trusting new things than adults because they do not have as much experience in the world as adults so they do not know or understand many things and mostly rely on their active imagination. They just need to be simple so that the children can understand the story using their limited understanding of language. Due to the fact that many fairy tales do not need to make much effort on character construction. In the story “Snow White”, the Snow White is described as pure and innocent and the queen is described as jealous and devilish (Grimm Brothers). The Grimm Brothers just give the plain personalities to the main characters. Children can easily know the characters by reading these kinds of stories because they cannot understand more complex. However, as people get older and older, they know more and more. They know the two persons are not able to fall in love at first sight; they know kissing cannot bring somebody back to life; they know the human nature is complicated.
