Harry Potter was banned in some libraries for witchcraft. Three things that involve witchcraft in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s stone are: Hogwarts, broomsticks, and the spells that Harry and his friends learn. In Sorcerer’s Stone Hagrid had told the Uncle Vernon that “He’s off to the finest school of witchcraft and wizardry.” Hagrid was referring to Hogwarts Schools of Witchcraft and Wizardry which is ran by Headmaster Dumbledore. This is where Harry learns spells, about vampires, and how to ride a broomstick in his first year at Hogwarts.

Harry Potter was challenged for witchcraft, violent content, and anti-family. Harry Potter was banned all over the world just for these reasons, and with nobody noticing the many themes that outweigh all of bad. I believe that it should be the reader’s choice to read the book or not, instead of somebody choosing this for them. Harry Potter should have never been challenged or banned just because of witchcraft, violent content, or anti-family, which there is very little
