5 Causes of Social Injustice
When thinking of events that influenced a social injustice world, the first thing that came to mind was the death of Philando Reynolds. Philando Reynolds, a black man who was shot by a police officer in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. Philando Castile was shot by Officer Jeronimo Yanez, who stopped Philando because he allegedly fit the description of a robber. Philando was shot in the driver’s seat of the vehicle while he was reaching for his ID after he told Officer Yanez he had a gun permit and was armed. As Philando sat in his car covered in blood for doing nothing wrong, his girlfriend and four-year-old daughter saw everything that happened. This moment was the breaking point for myself, because Minnesota is only hours away from South Dakota and Philando did absolutely nothing wrong, and his daughter witnessed the death of her father at the age of four. I believe this is one of the most disgusted police officer shooting of them all, because this situation was never supposed to happen.
Stereotypes of what society thinks of individuals has hurt the potential of America, an unpleasant action that occurred in education within the city of Irving, Texas was an alleged hoax bomb from Muslim 14 years’ old Ahmed Mohamed. Ahmed who is a bright child was arrested on September 14, 2015 for creating a hoax bomb. Ahmed created a digital clock in a pencil case and brought it to school to show his teachers, but he was arrest and taken into custody for the reason…
