Mayhem states, “some people or groups are defined as unequal’s by means of what socialist call ascriptions; that is your birth define you” (Mayhem 112¬). With permanent inequality, it not only suppresses equality, but also enforces inequality. There are no longer a superior or lesser party, but rather dominants and subordinates. The dominants are describes as a group who suppress or lower a subordinates roles. As described, “Once a group is defined as inferior the superior (dominants) tend to label it as defective or substandard in various ways (Mayhem 112). The example like “women are only good in condition” would include the dominants stating that a certain race or genders are only good for one specific ideal based on their skills. Subordinate also suffer from this end, due to constant reminders of how they can never achieve or become something more.
