Stem cells is an undifferentiated cell of a multicellular organism that is capable of giving rise to indefinitely more cells of the same type, it can copy themselves for an unlimited period of time, also have the potential to develop into different types of cell. Each new cell will become another type of cell with a more specialized function when the stem cell divides, these cells such as the red blood cell, muscle cell and the brain cell. Overall on some main functions of the stem cell, the first one is that it keeps on renewing themselves from cell division since they are all an unspecialized cell. The second was about the knowledge of human growth, since people have known enough of stem cells, they have created lots of different kind of medicine to cure for degenerative illnesses. The third one was that stem cells have become the key to reversing aging, which mean that it might reviving organs in people 's body that were worn out or old and it could make the lives of humans longer or forever. The last one was about the cure development, stem cell research was not just benefit on the way people walk around the earth, it could also greatly improving the quality of life and chance of survival for those child who still not born yet. Although stem cell research was useful on people nowadays, but it also had the disadvantage side. Since that was still in a research phase, and it was a new things to put on public, there still had lots of high uncertainties and some unknown side effects, people still did not know how risky and unknown it truly was, also the fact that could cause disease and new illnesses to develop, or even interfere with the natural functions of the body, that was still an unknown number. However, there had one more issue that was the most frequently argued, it was about the moral, many people think that altering the basic structure of a human’s genes is putting hands somewhere they should not
