He has clearly defined age lines on his forehead and around his mouth, and there are also bags under his eyes. His eyes appear to be looking up a bit, like he is watching someone in front of him. His mouth is made of small lips that are framed by a mustache and beard. The beard starts at his side burns and flows elegantly down to form a slight cleft at his chin. Moving down from his face, you notice his shoulders and his pectoral muscles which are slightly bigger, as though he had a job lifting heavy things.…

Sometimes, in sports or in life in general, there are favorites and underdogs. There is a general consensus that the favorite team or player will win but sometimes it`s the underdog that wins and receives all the honor related with that win. This is very similar to what I read about Seabiscuit and what I watched in the video of Jason McElwain. Some people have the ability to transcend their underdog status (ie. Red from Seabiscuit and Jason) and create something very special.…

Rock’s first mixed gender and race band: Sly And The Family Stone. Known largely for their sound in the late sixties with as much mixture in their sound as in their band, playing a fusion of soul, rhythm and blues, funk, psychedelia, gospel, and all around high energy music. The band formed in 1967 and had a major hit on Pop and R&B charts in 1968 “Dance To The Music”, but got a much greater fan base after their amazing performance at Woodstock. They played at 3:30 am Sunday morning August 17, 1969. Shrek Don’t judge a book by its cover I find the character Shrek from the movie Shrek a really neglected character, as and ogre, the audience and the village people in the movie are pruned to believing he’s a bad, discussing, mean and emotion less beast, but throughout the story he begins to change our negative aspect of him into good aspects. Even though the village people in the place Shrek lives in believe he is an ugly and cruel beast , Shrek still proved to them he isn’t that bad in the end. A close up shot of Shrek’s face, when he discovers that there might be something wrong with donkey, can really show us how surprised he was, his sudden expression of his jaw dropping and his eyes opening in shock, then a cut to where he starts touching donkey to try find where the problem is, can really depict his care and emotion he has for his pers. This shows us how much care he really has for the friends and not the selfish beast we thought he was in the beginning of the story.…

“’New Scottish Cinema’ suggests a new wave of film production and is often attributed to filmmaking that considers itself alternative or oppositional to other forms of mainstream cinema”, David Martin Jones, (2005:11). Trainspotting (Danny Boyle, 1995) is a film that worked around the social, political and cultural development in Britain in the late 20th Century. It gives rise to questions of identity, culture, and community. The main theme in this film is about a group of friends with a heroin addiction, and the destructive effects that heroin-taking has upon the individual members of the group. Lord of the flies by William Golding is a novel depicting the savage nature of a group of boys stranded on an island. The boys begin innocently enough, but are soon corrupted by “mankind’s essential illness” (Golding 69). The novel makes many biblical references including: Beelzebub, Jesus and the seven deadly sins that are used to convey a message about this illness. It was the sins represented in each character, the boy’s loss of innocence, and the failing of Jesus caused the illness to infect their little paradise. Each boy or group represents one, two or three sins.…
