Chapter 6

SpongeBob went into his room and shut the door and took a nap for a few hours. His nap was shortly interrupted when his phone rang in the living room downstairs. When SpongeBob woke up he complained, “What idiot is calling me now?!” He rushed downstairs and answered the phone and screamed, “who is it?!” It turns out that it was Mr. Krabs calling him. “Hey lad, I know why you woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning is because I gave you an absurd salary of $25.00 a week and 16 hours a day. Sorry SpongeBob, I shouldn’t have enforced that rule. Tell you what, I’ll give you back your job and I’ll increase your salary by.” Mr. Krabs paused for a minute or two, “ By 16x in one day, which means I’ll pay you $400.00 a day, since

The first part of the story The Lord of the Flies was really interesting and incredibly descriptive. I loved that the book described the birds having voices and communicating with each other, like humans, on page 7. When I first read the words “. . .that pilot,” on page 8, that told me that someone must have dropped Piggy off on the island, in an airplane. But the thing that really grabbed my attention was when Piggy and Ralph, started wondering if they were on an island or not, on page 14.…

    1. The wife of Young Goodman Brown is named “Faith” for a reason. It gives the reader a clue that Faith was named to represent the faith of Young Goodman Brown; such as the faith in this own life or the faith in god. For example when it states “Come, Goodman Brown, cried his fellow-traveler; this is a dull pace for the beginning of the journey. Take my staff, if you are soon weary” and “We are but a little way in the forest yet.”…

    1) I liked how she starts her story with the emotional moment of the accident, that part made me feel dizzy and disorientated like her, at the beginning it was kind of hard to interpreted the text and what was happening at the time. The parts were the police were treating her like an animal really made me mad and I felt a little bit of impotence when hearing about how they waited so long to help her and they hurt her even more. I was actually disgusted but not surprised of the way the police treated her in the hospital, it was to be expected, besides she “killed” one of their own and on top of it she was a woman of color. I admire Assata greatly in this chapter, she is so brave and has a strong will of power, if I were in her place I would have cried and begged since the first punch to the stomach. I can connect the way they treated Assata during…
