The fourth wave also consists of making women’s studies more obtainable to anyone interested. Berger mentions in her article how women’s studies classes can be accessed from anywhere online and it is now available to anybody regarding if you’re in college or not. In addition, the article mentions how increasing the popularity of women’s studies can “create opportunities for diverse, intergenerational educational communities” (Berger). The author also includes how feminism and women’s studies have developed together and one cannot think of these two separately.
In conclusion, in Michele’s Berger article So You Want to Change the World? She related her article to the waves of feminism and mentioned very similar aspects. I believe Michele did a great job in providing examples of each of the three waves she included in her article. She made sure to include specific dates and feminist movements that relate to the real world of feminism. In her article Michele Berger taught me something very important, she taught me that even though you’re not a female or a feminist activist, women’s studies can still benefit you
