Life behind bars is not justice served. Yes, the inmates will die in prison eventually, but it 's not paying the same price. These inmates have the privilege of dying on their own terms, meaning through their survival of prison the inmates live a full life, it may not the most luxury life, but they are living and it still goes to show no justice has been served. Some may say, living in a "cage" their whole life seems to be far more punishment than being put to death immediately, but that cant be proven because inmates tend to adapt to the prison life. It becomes their lifestyle, three meals a day, television time, and even having a social life. The inmates can get advantages from good behavior, their family still have the opportunity to come visit (Hess, "Weighing the death penalty.."), But the victims family have to visit their lost loved one at a graveyard. Death better serves the inmates, it takes the life of them as they have taken the life of another, seeing an "eye for an eye." Also keeping inmates in prison for life can become a hassle and is just as expensive as the death penalty.
