For some schools, such as La Palma, the academic levels between Albert and Britney are very similar to their students. Some students learn at different paces or have a much harder time processing new information making studying and basic school work a very strenuous task. The students would constantly be studying and doing school work just so they could achieve a better color card in order to receive better privileges. For those who find studying difficult or a waste of time, will get much lower grades. For others, they study but still get low grades with a low ranking card making them a prime target for bullying. There are many instances where kids who have been bullied quickly find themselves suffering from depression or even worse, suicide. This quickly could steer their attention away from trying to get a better grade, but instead trying to cope with the obstacles of life and the people around them. Others are even less fortunate. Mentally disabled kids can not help it if their mental capacity cannot exceed the necessary requirements for a higher color card. These are the students that will spend every waking moment studying and practicing the test. They will spend majority of their high school life studying for privileges that they won't hardly use because they will go right back to studying. All this time spent studying for the test will deprive them of fully enjoying their childhood. Such as hanging out with friends, experimenting with relationships, or not participating in sports. This could cause them to become stressed out and depressed if they do not get a good card. Too much work and not enough play. Some say that kids working their full potential to get the best grade is the best thing for them so they have a better life, whereas others say that to much studying can ruin their childhood. Many of the kids that look back on their life would be very upset after they realize they wasted their childhood for an irrelevant plastic
