Freud followed that every situations created by the different desires which are prolonged, there is a creation of a feeling entailing mild content. Civilization creates a law which governs every individual among themselves through creation of equal rights. On the other hand, Rousseau argues that social contract helps individuals communicate among themselves in a way that there is creation of defense and protection. This enables the members of a given community to be able to obey themselves and remain free as before (Sol, 1789). Man is enslaved in such a way that the obstacles which entail the human preservation have been made greater, in that people cannot tackle them by their own strength. Freud also argued that there is a particular notion in which humans have certain instincts in which are immutable. …show more content…
There are different healthy states from a pathological viewpoint, where there is no boundary between ego and object (Hergenhahn, 2009). The oceanic feeling is categorized as being regressed to an earlier feeling. Freedom and power entail the major part of self-preservation (Sol, 1789). As people live in community, they alienate themselves with their rights. The situation will be able to be equal in the community only if the people estrange themselves. No one will have to make the situation worse once everyone is in lie with the rules. If one member is offended then the whole political body is offended. The particular interests of an individual and the common interest are different in one person. Freud asserts that there may be a rise of a particular concern of an individual which differs from the whole group. The interest may be contrary to the general view of the community (Ean, 1763). The interest would harm other individuals as it focuses on receiving rather than giving. The individual may wish to perform less duties in a given society and yet tend to enjoy more benefits of the rights in a society. Consequently, there is a complete destruction of the political body. Rousseau follows that the political body is responsible for making sure everyone obeys the general rights thus people do not depend on the fruits of other individuals. The legitimacy of the political body is dependent on the rule making the citizens under the fatherland (Ean, 1763). Without the rule under which people’s rights are protected, there is complete formation of tyrannical and the actions of the political body are absurd. There is also high exposure to various outrageous abuses. The benefits lost in civil states makes an individual incorporate his/her capabilities to better use and development. There is quite a higher enrichment of the notions belonging to the person (Sol, 1789). However, Feud follows that religion strategizes the need for an individual to distance oneself from all the suffering of the world. The ego is formed over the oceanic feeling grasping various negative aspects from reality (Hergenhahn, 2009). The ego also asserts itself from avoiding pleasure. There are certain aspects of negative reality abhorring others and accepting only the distance. Rousseau describes how tyrants in the current world are perceived as those who make abuse of power violate the law resulting to an oppression of the people making them victims of selfish desires. As Freud describes the fundamental paradox of civilization, the tyrant has a major objective of fulfilling the satisfactions of his/her passion despite the people under him being in distress. The subjects of the tyrant are considered an inferior species as they represent slaves in the community. Pride fills the tyrant and holds a major destiny of satisfying oneself caprices (Karl, 2017). Consequently, there is dictation of absurd laws that vary in accordance to the change of one’s mind will. There is increased corruption
