In the book “black and white” it is similar to “rooftop” because of the setting. The book “black and white” takes place in a poor neighborhood. Even though they are written by the same author the writing changes a little bit between books. For example the way “black and white” is written is in two parts the same story is told by two different people while “rooftop” does not do that it’s just one person telling their story. And in “black in white“ the author the author writes about everything seems a little more detailed. Just like on page 14 volponi writes “I was breathing harder than ever. Every part of my body was on fire.” right after Eddie fires his shot volponi really tells the reader how he is feeling and how he is reacting. Then he changes to how Marcus feels about what just happened and everything that is racing through his mind. And when Eddie does get home volponi does a good job of creating the picture on page 14 “ my right hand was in my pocket, still wrapped around the gun. I could smell that it had just been fired” with both of the quotes the author shows the reader that Eddie is very shocked as to what
