Dahl created a suspense by ,the landlady seemed nice cause in the text it says “It’s all ready for you, my dear,” she said. She had a round pink face and very gentle blue eyes. In the story it says “billy was drinking the tea as he , was drinking he smelled a burnt Almond smell”. Also the landlady was talking about the missing people. The landlady kept talking about the missing , she was saying they are here in the text it says “Christopher Mulholland , was in the newspaper he was missing”.Billy notice that it was only two people who entered because in the text it says” There were only two other entries above his on the page, and, as one always does with guest-books, he started to read them”. …show more content…
