One's body language needs to portray that you are invested in the topic and the people involved. The most valuable gesture is to make eye contact with each person. People pay more attention to speakers who look them in the eye. To portray confidence and attentiveness, the body needs to be relaxed and uncrossed. A healthy relationship is built upon mutual respect for the other. Accountability is one piece of the puzzle in which you take responsibility for your behaviors, attitudes, and actions. Trust and honesty allow for open communication and accepting the words of others. Likewise, cooperation and support open space for questions and deeper understanding. When making decisions together, a healthy relationship will focus upon compromising and supporting each other's decisions. All of these values create a sense of safety where manipulation, intimidation, and violations of personal space are not tolerated. Placing value in how each person approaches conflict adds valuing and meaning to go through reconciliation together and allows for a deeper understanding of each other. There are five categories of individuals in the ways and speeds that they go through change.xvi There are the innovators who are enthusiastic and interested in finding and implementing new ideas and account for about 2.5 percent of the group. There are the early adopters who quickly assess the possibilities and adapt to change. The early adopters are well respected within the organization and are about 1.5 percent of the group. Next, the early majority, about 34 percent of the group, are those who listen carefully and take their time in
