Life for a Puritan in America was very hostile and fearful,which was the opposite of what was intended for.Puritans Moved to America for reason of salvation,beliefs,and peace.Which lasted for a time that probably wasn't even noticed,then turned into a nightmare.A nightmare that not only ened dreams but also lives of Puritans.There was constant questioning and tension between the people which led to many people destroyed both mentally and physically.Even though that was a very long time ago there are some similarities between then and now.
There may not be a whole lot of similarities with now and then but there are certainly some.Some people still fear for the same thing,believe in the same thing,and the attitude in some environments are still present.As the article states “By the end of the trials...men and women were hanged, one man was pressed to death,..”Being caught by someone who doesnt like you are dont like what you believe in can cause that still today. There are people who still believe that there is no higher power than GOD and all negative horrible things are the devil's work. The article also states”spurred by political and social unrest in the community, and religious leaders...”They can no longer happen either because there now are rights that people have that they didn't back then.Someone else told them how to be in their community and they had to listen, but now the community is what the people in the community make
