Even before the Articles were created many people believed that their natural and individual rights were a necessity in order to maintain order. This was shown when the Bill Of Rights stated this, “ The right of peoples to be secure in their persons houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and No warrants shall issue but upon probable cause”(Amendment 4). This shows that this amendment is protecting basic rights because many people believe that their personal property is their own and cannot be taken without cause. This ensures that citizens property can not be broken into or searched without consent or a warrant from the court system. Furthermore, The Bill Of Rights shows more of protecting basic rights by amending a few more individual rights. These rights have helped many Americans from being ignored and abused by the strong and powerful government Anti federalists feared.This is stated in the Bill Of rights, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”(Amendment 1).
