Prescription drugs have a right way of being used. We should all know that everything in this world has a right and wrong way of being used. “As to disease, make a habit of two things- to help, or at least, to do no harm.” (‘Hippocrates”) First of all, why would you want to make yourself feel even more bad when you already feel bad enough having a disease? It is better to think and stay positive, so you will be able to only do good to yourself. Harming yourself will only bring more pain. Not only do you have to think about doing what’s right and what is wrong but you also have to go with what you believe. Without believing, we would be left with nothing. “To continue believing in yourself, believing in the treatment, believing in whatever I chose to believe in, that was the most important thing, I decided, it had to be.” You decide on what you want to believe in basically. In time, if we work together and hard the rate can decrease. “Recovery, it will be challenging. It will also be worth it. You will relapse, and that’s okay, as long as you keep fighting”. Recovery centers will help out a lot. Prescription drug abuse is becoming more and more danger which is why something needs to be done now. This will all be a long process but it will make a difference. The more that we are able to stop prescription drug abuse the less death and destruction there will be. “Treatment for dependency at substance abuse treatment centers must change if alcoholism and addiction are to be overcome in our society”. If our society isn’t getting enough with the treatment centers, more must be done. The treatment centers must be stronger and be able to get something out of them. “Drugs will have a huge effect on my work for the rest of my life, whether im using or not”. People should be aware of the consequences this will all bring to them. They should be able to think about their future and get advice on what is the right thing to do, even if they may already know but choose not to do. “The first step towards change is awareness.
