Ponyboy is at the risk of getting killed, arrested, and hurt while he is with Darry. Ponyboy should be put in the system because there he would have a less risk of getting jailed, lung cancer, fighting, and so much more. With Ponyboy going to the system he will have better health and he will have a lower chance of getting lung cancer. People would stay with Darry but that is not such a great idea. If he stays with him Ponyboy will be at bigger risk of getting jailed, getting in fights, and he won’t have as big of a chance of getting brain damage. Ponyboy should he should go the system because if he does he will have better health and have better influences. If Ponyboy goes to the system then he will have better health. “All three of us like to eat chocolate cake for breakfast.” (PG. 92) Eating chocolate for breakfast everyday is not a great idea, because the carbs in the bread will make you gain weight and become out of shape. “Dally raised the gun...I thought: you blasted fool. They don’t know your only bluffing...the policemen’s guns spit fire into the night I knew that was what dally wanted.” (PG. 134) This helps because Dally pointed a gun at the cops and he wanted the cops to shoot him. This shows that is Ponyboy was in the system he would have to see this stuff. “It was Dally. He phoned from a booth. He’s just robbed a grocery store and the cops are after him.” (PG. 133) Dally robbed a store and is running from the police. This shows Ponyboy that it is fine to break the law and run from the cops. Paperboy Review The book Paperboy, by Vince Vawter, tells the story of a boy, nicknamed “little man”, who takes his friend’s paper route while he is with his grandparents on their farm. “little man” does not normally talk to many people due to his speech impediment. This makes it difficult for him to get his thoughts out as well as have a normal conversation. As he is filling in for his friend he meets many people, some of which are interested in what he has to say which is surprising because he has never had anyone interested in what he had to say because of his stutter and he was just a kid.…

Dally and Johnny Often, people who seem to be opposites are not so different at all. Throughout The Outsiders, S. E. Hinton proves this, but never as well as with Johnny and Dally. Although they come from similarly abusive households and care immensely about the other, the characters have very different philosophies. They have different outlooks on the law, and the world in general. Despite their differences, Dallas Winston and Johnny Cade have many similarities.…

Having spent many years going to North Devon for holidays or to visit family, I had never until about two years ago ever visited the area that is known as Croyde Bay. Situated on the road out of Braunton (which is its nearest largest village hub with lots of shops and other services), it is on the coast that faces the Atlantic Ocean. How to get here For most people who are travelling from anywhere in the country apart from Cornwall, then access to Croyde is generally through Barnstaple - the main North Devon Link Road leads from Junction 27 of the M5 directly through to Barnstaple; you then follow signs to Braunton and Ilfracombe, and then Croyde and its neighbouring village Georgeham are signposted from here. If you are coming from Cornwall, then access is by way of the A39 Atlantic Highway which leads to Bideford - you then have to go through Barnstaple, and follow instructions as above (this trunk road also follows a more windy route to the M5 too but would take you a lot longer).…

In a bad environment, even the best can be led astray. I believe we can help Ponyboy by taking him away where his academic abilities and family needs can be improved by a long mile. Consider this, I do say. The things he has picked up in his hood are remarkable to allow a young boy to mature at such an age, but he is growing up too fast, and most teenage boys are not exposed to the type of things he is.…
