Once a person is diagnosed with a mental illness, the person should be told treatments or services that are provided with. Instead of receiving an adquent amount of treatments, mentally ill people are left with pills that help with the illness but for relatively short period of time, the pills may cover the symptoms but it doesn’t necceristily help. The side effects however are damaging to the person, the pills make cause severe depression,fatigue,muscle weakness, etc that would make the person want to stop taking the pills. Since the pills are designed to shield away the illness, when the pill taking stop the illness comes back at full fedge. Because the pills was the only way for the person to maintain stability, the person may encounter a mental breakdown. A person needs more treatment than just pills. If a person has access to a support group or therapist it would help tremendously with improvement. Congress has made great strides in the effort to help the mentally ill but it’s not enough. Furthermore, The United States should require all mentally ill people with the access to many different treatments and programs that would not only secure their well being but as well as leaving the stigma behind for adquent
