To display these beliefs they both voiced their opinions in an effort to gather support and obviously the strategy worked as both Henry and Stanton got what they were striving for. These tactics and beliefs definitely apply to the world today as everyday there are people speaking for the movement “Black Lives Matter” in an effort to gather support to obtain equal rights for African-Americans. Another recent example of this is when numerous people all over the country spoke in support of gay marriage. Similar to Henry and Stanton they stayed persistent with the effort and very quickly gathered more and more support everyday. Eventually they had to much support to ignore, so the government looked into it and officially made gay marriage legal in the United States. These actions are just as evident today as they were centuries ago and will continue to be as long as the United States exists.
Both authors have very similar beliefs and speeches and that is why both were successful in accomplishing what they set out to achieve. These speeches will forever serve as examples to future generations on how to be a leader and fight for what you believe in. Both Henry and Stanton’s speeches are very similar as they both were aiming to achieve freedom, used an appeal to logic, and most importantly both ignited successful movements that helped establish America as it is known
