Study has revealed that domestic violence affect both male and female partner but it affects female more so most of the study literature and mediations focused on women. The National Survey was conducted by United States in 2010 and results were shocking every year, 1.3 to 5.3 million women experience violence by their intimate partner. In which 30% of female encounter physical violence, 9% faced raped, 17% undergo sexual violence other than rape, and 48% has faced psychological aggression. If we compare the western world women to the south East Asian or Middle Eastern women then we can say that the safety issues and violence is more in this part of the world. The study survey was conducted in one of the largest and densely populated state of India where most of the population is from rural area known as Uttar Pradesh. The female literacy rate in this state is very low that is 50%. Child marriage or early marriage of girls is very common in this region on an average 33% girls got married before turning 18 years followed by pregnancy and early motherhood. As the social and economic status of women in UP is very low and violence against them is very common. The National Crime Records Bureau of India stated that the recorded report of 2009 shows that about 23,254 crimes were recorded in UP. From this we can imagine the number of crimes which are not even recorded due to certain circumstances but happened.
