Stroke is a medical condition which occurs due to reduced or interrupted blood supply to the brain therefore causing death of brain cells as a result of inadequate oxygen and nutrient supply. Steves condition may have possibly resulted due to adhere to warfarin treatment therefore causing artery blockage (ischemic stroke). This type of stroke results when arteries supplying blood to the brain are blocked or narrowed causing reduced blood flow. This is as a result of thrombus formation in the arteries that supply blood to the brain due to fatty deposit build up.
Risk factors.

The following are signs and symptoms that a person with stroke can show as in the case of Steve; trouble with picking when he starts slurring words, numbness of some parts of the body like the left side of Steve’s face and arm, and sudden severe headache which may be accompanied by dizziness, altered consciousness, nausea and vomiting.
Complications.
Stroke, depending on the affected part of the brain and the period the brain lacks blood flow, may cause temporary or permanent disabilities including loss of muscle control or paralysis of one body side evidenced by Steve’s left arm dangling besides him with reduced grip strength as compared to his right hand. His left side of the face also droops. It also causes loss of mouth and throat muscle control making it difficult to talk and swallow as evidenced by Steve’s lack of tongue muscle control whereby he starts slurring words and feel drowsy while answering questions.
Diagnostic Criteria.
The following criteria can be used to diagnose stroke;
i) Physical examination including Steve’s warfarin medication history, family history of stroke, finding out if he has had head injuries and history of
